Nick Trubenbach Design is striving to be on the cutting edge of this new approach to Interior Design, the reasons are two fold:

     First - Many people are becoming more aware and sensitive to the "ingredients" of the materials in the environment the surrounds them. Paint and carpet "off gassing" can irritate eyes, lungs and can cause headaches. For some it's sensitivity to certain natural and/or synthetic fibers. Commonly used dyes, stains, foam and adhesives can cause allergic reactions.

     Second - are the unseen effects of producing, manufacturing and transporting the raw and finished materials and products associated with building and decorating.

     Many more manufacturers are developing products that are certified green, although some are "greenwashing" their products- Nick Trubenbach Design is dedicated to continually gathering information and resourcing vendors so that quality, integrity and beauty are not sacrificed in the name of pro-ecological building and decorating.

In the past few years the cost of these products have dropped significantly making them more affordable and accessible to designers and their clients. Green/pro-ecological products are now priced comparatively with their non-green counterparts.
